This week we have the wonderful Kate Waters on the podcast. Kate is an intimate health specialist and works with women of all ages to take control of their own health and understand their own body. She empowers them with knowledge and advice to deal with their intimate health concerns.

This episode will focus on intimate health specifically during perimenopause and menopause. Kate first walks us through some of the changes that occur during this stage of life – including vaginal symptoms such as vaginal dryness, vulval symptoms such as burning and sensitivity, urinary symptoms such as incontinence and UTIs, and sexual symptoms such as reduced lubrication. She then explains in detail why these change occur in terms of hormones, our vaginal microbiome, pelvic structures and more. This then leads Kate and Jess on to discussing the subsequent conditions often faced by many menopausal women including: prolapse, BV (bacterial vaginosis), AV (aerobic vaginosis) and vaginal atrophy.

Kate is a practitioner who works to generate solutions for her clients. So after explaining all of this, she elaborates on what we can do to manage and solve some of these concerns. She includes diet tips, lifestyle advice, how tp rename our understanding of ourselves, and other techniques that can really make a difference to improve our intimate health.
