This week we are very lucky to have Shari Maluleke on the show. Herself and Jess discuss menstrual health.
Shari is a genderfluid intersectional activist and writer. She believes in dismantling all systems of oppression. As the co- founder of the Menstrual Project, she believes that menstruation safety and dignity should accessible for all no matter who they are.
Shari tells us what the Menstrual Project is doing to combat period poverty and empower people with knowledge about their own bodies. Shari and Jess discuss how menstrual health and intimate health education can be tied in with the arts to truly generate change and news ways to communicate education. They also discuss how menstrual health conversations are intertwined with climate change and sustainability discourses – as well as what we can do about this.
