The prevalence of environmental toxins.

Marie details how environmental toxins are widely pervasive throughout our daily lives. Chemicals like pesticides and bisphenols are associated with various health problems. Predicting which symptoms or health issues an individual may experience due to exposure is challenging. For instance, bisphenols can lead to metabolic problems such as weight gain, diabetes, insulin resistance, reproductive issues, immune system problems, and breast cancer. The chemicals we encounter daily, such as phthalates, bisphenols, organophosphate pesticides, methylmercury, lead, arsenic, flame retardants, and PFAS chemicals, are the primary culprits. Marie highlights some of the main ways in which we are exposed to these toxins including: food, cooking, household products, and more.

Environmental toxins & fertility

There are countless studies examining the relationship between environmental chemicals and reproductive health. Over 2,000 studies on environmental chemicals and reproductive health have been published in the past decade, with over half of those appearing in the last five years alone. In a world where fertility rates and reproductive issues are rising, it’s encouraging that research in this field is gaining momentum. Marie details how she works with clients to optimise their fertility through holistic approaches.

Solutions

Marie is highly solutions focused. She makes a point to highlight some of the everyday methods we can employ in our day-to-day lives in order to limit our exposure to toxins, as well as accelerate and promote detoxification. Strategies are as basic as sweating — either through exercise or in saunas, or introducing house plants in to your home inorder to clean the air you are breathing every day!
