How to collect your sample:

Method of collection:
- Clean intimate area
- Pass some urine in to the toilet
- Place swab into the stream of full-flowing urine and remove once you have finished passing urine
Collect sample from first urine of the day.
Do not collect sample if patient is on antibiotics. Wait 14 days after finishing your antibiotics or antibacterial treatment before collecting a sample.
Preferably collect sample when symptoms are present (if symptomatic).

What is the turnaround time for receiving results?

NGS involves a complex and intricate process of DNA sequencing, including library preparation, sequencing, and data analysis, which requires time for precision and accuracy. We expect most results to be out between 3-5 weeks.

NGS testing is the gold-standard microbiome testing available. This allows us to screen 100% of bacteria present with 99.9% accuracy, making it the most effective and comprehensive service on the market.

NGS also allows us to determine the relative amount (%) of every species present; something that other testing methods, including PCR and swab-culture, again cannot do.

I think this is such an important service for women. I have suffered for years with UTI's with them now being a monthly occurrence.
