This week on the podcast, Jess welcomes the wonderful Jade Secker on to the show. Jade so bravely shares her personal health journey, which started with uncomfortable vaginal symptoms, and involved an over 2-year journey to a place where she finally feels that she is getting back on track with her health.

Jade walks us through her story, which sheds a light on the unfortunate lack of education, time and care that many women currently experience in our health system. Jade was dismissed, ignored and belittled by so many health professionals, despite her results telling a different story. While this is of course shocking and upsetting, such a story provokes a greater drive for change towards a more equitable healthcare system in which women are listened to and genuinely cared for.

Jade’s story is also a testament to her amazing bravery and perseverance, as well as providing a light at the end of the tunnel for those who may be currently going through similar journeys. Jade discusses how she has recently been diagnosed with early menopause, and in so has been able to access much more of the care and support she requires. By finally getting on a positive health pathway, Jade’s story shows that with better education of women’s health and symptoms, we can truly help those who have uncomfortable symptoms, concerns and pain.
