About the ScreenMe service & ordering from ScreenMe

What you need to know before placing your order:

ScreenMe is available worldwide! Our tests are taken at-home, and we ship internationally (although shipping costs will vary). Support and services are conducted online, so can be accessed from anywhere with an Internet connection.

 

ScreenMe has multiple microbiome kits available, depending on your needs, concerns and goals.

All kits include at a minimum:

  • 1 x testing (Vaginal/Semen/Urine/Uterine  microbiome test)
  • 1 x Expert Report
  • 1 x consultation with your ScreenMe expert

For UK orders, we have two options:

  • Royal Mail Next Day Delivery (signature required): One Working Day 
  • Standard Delivery to UK: 3-5 Working days)

For International orders we have two options: 

  • DHL Express Delivery: 1-2 Working days
  • Royal Mail International: 10-14 Working days

Prices will vary according to the shipping service selected

We offer next-day delivery for ALL our kits being shipped in the UK. However, any order placed after 2pm (UK time) will not be guaranteed to be processed for next day delivery.

After you buy your ScreenMe package you will receive an email confirming shipment of your sample collection kit. 

After receiving your test, then simply follow the enclosed instructions.

Microbiome test results will be ready 3-5 weeks after your sample has been returned and received by ScreenMe. In rare instances, there may be exceptions to this, in which case you shall be notified.

Yes, ScreenMe is passionate about not just providing results, but providing the education and support needed to understand these results and make meaningful changes. 

Therefore, all ScreenMe packages include a FREE consultation with a ScreenMe health expert and all results are accompanied with a detailed report from a PhD scientist.

Consultations last approximately 20 minutes.

  • We care about your privacy and security and take it very seriously. We use the latest encryption technologies and only share your data with the health professionals who review your results within our platform (where you can sign in and access your data too).

    You can also access your results by writing to us and requesting a PDF copy.

    We don’t share any clinical data or tests results with third parties. Our privacy policy, website terms and customer terms are always available for you to look at.

We use accredited, reliable labs, which use the latest technology and are trusted by NHS and private health providers.

You have 2 years to take your ScreenMe test – so plenty of time to test when you are ready.

Who is ScreenMe for?

  • Understanding what is happening inside your body can help you understand your current health and fertility status and give you direction to improve your health. The results also help to tailor accurate nutrition and lifestyle advice to help you take control of your health.

Yes. Our tests are shallow swabs and only have to be inserted roughly 5cm in to the vaginal.

ALL the tests here at ScreenMe use next-generation sequencing (NGS) to analyse your sample and detect ALL bacterial and yeast species present, including:

            ALL Beneficial bacteria (Lactobacillus)

            ALL Harmless bacteria (Commensal)

            ALL Disease-causing bacteria (Pathogenic)

            ALL Bacteria that are problematic if they overgrow (Pathobiont)

Including Ureaplasma, Mycoplasma, Strep and BV and more!

ALL ScreenMe at home testing kits have been carefully designed for your convenience to provide an easy to use and non-invasive sample collection technique. 

The kits easily slip through any post/mailbox and include easy-to-understand instructions specific to the test e.g. Vaginal, Seminal and ALL the others, so ANYONE can test themselves.

Yes, the ScreenMe service has been designed to be discreet, in order to protect your privacy and improve accessibility. 

Test kits are sent in discreet packaging and easy fit through a letterbox/ mailbox. Tests are done from the comfort of your own home or chosen place. 

Consultations are done online, and therefore can be taken wherever you desire (as long as you have Internet connection!).

Instructions enclosed within the kits contain detailed instructions regarding how to post back your sample. 

UK customers should simply post the samples using the prepaid envelopes provided. These can go in any postbox or be handed over to your local post office. 

International (non-UK) customers are responsible for arranging and paying for postage, and we recommend that it should be tracked and signed for. The return address label is enclosed in the kit. Please do not return personal details on the order form provided – instead please ensure you scan the QR code and enter your details online

You will receive an email enclosed with your results and a link to book your FREE consultation with a ScreenMe consultant. 

If the order is made by an external practitioner, then your results will be sent directly to them, so it’s ready for your consultation.

Yes, you can purchase a range of microbiome tests to keep on top of your progress and track any changes in your health. 

A FREE consultation will always be provided with repeat purchases along with the choice of keeping or switching any previous ScreenMe specialists assigned to you.

No. ScreenMe tests are not diagnostic and are not intended to replace advice from your GP or clinician

Yes, of course. You are able to download your report and share this with your healthcare provider.

If you do not have a healthcare provider, ScreenMe includes a free 1:1 expert consultation, so you are able to understand your results and implement beneficial changes.

Your microbiome is sequenced using 16S (for bacteria) Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) with the option to add on ITS (for yeast) testing. NGS testing is comprehensive enough to classify ALL present bacteria and yeast species in the submitted sample.

NGS (next-generation sequencing) testing is the gold-standard. This allows ScreenMe to screen 100% of the bacteria species and 100% of the yeast species present with 99.9% accuracy. 

This is far more comprehensive and accurate than other methods, including PCR and swab culture

The instructions enclosed within your kit give a detailed overview of when it is best to take an optimum sample. This includes:

  • Do not collect sample if you are on antibiotics. Wait 14 days after finishing your antibiotics or antibacterial treatment before collecting a sample. If there is a medical need to take antibiotics, we recommend you complete your course of medication and wait 14 days before taking your ScreenMe test.
  • Do not collect sample if you are on vaginal probiotics or any other vaginally-inserted products. Wait 7 days before collecting a sample.
  • Preferably collect sample when symptoms are present.

You should avoid topical probiotics in the 7 days prior to testing. However, you can continue supplements, including oral probiotics.

Managing your account

Information about account changes and cancellations:

After signing into your ScreenMe account, navigate to your health passport at the bottom left of the screen. Then click on Your Health profile – this is where you can edit your profile and save it.

Returns, Refunds & Cancellations

Yes, you have 14 days to return your kit, provided it has not been opened or used. Please contact support@screenme.co.uk for further instructions, if you need assistance with this.

Our kits are 100% recyclable! Kits from ScreenMe are a sustainable choice for your intimate health and the planet’s health alike!

If your order has not been dispatched, then you may request a cancellation at this email: b.lahouaoui@screenme.co.uk. 

However, if your order has been dispatched then you will need to return it as normal upon arrival. You can find how to do that here!

If you decide to return your kit then you should email support@screenme.co.uk and request this. You have two options from here (please detail which option you wish to proceed with in your email):
– 1. Post your kit back to ScreenMe’s return address. Once we receive this (and the kit is undamaged), you shall receive a refund of the amount you paid, minus the cost of shipping.
– 2. Keep your kit and do not send this back to us. You will then be refunded the amount you paid, minus both the cost of shipping and a £20 fee per box ordered. Kits can be used any time in the next 2 years; so should you decide to test with us in the future, simply email support@screenme.co.uk and we can reactivate your account once the price difference has been paid.
